Stopped at level four?

On monday.com, subitems stop 4 levels down, only on boards created new for it, with 750 under one item. Its formula column starts at Pro. On PlatformPilot, sub-tickets go many levels deep on every ticket and every plan, beside the clients the work is for.

Every monday.com claim on this page links to monday.com's own pages.

A ticket in PlatformPilot, as the app draws it: Import the vehicle list, under the Fleet rollout ticket, with a roll-up of what is done across the levels below and three sub-tickets of its own.

Four levels, then a wall.

monday.com's subitems now nest, and its help center calls level four “the maximum depth allowed.” PlatformPilot's sub-tickets keep going.

On monday.com

  • Only on boards created new for it: an existing board can't be switched over, only its items moved.
  • Up to 750 subitems under one item, and 5,000 items on the whole board.
  • In a roll-up column, only the lowest level can be edited by hand.
  • On its project boards, nested subitems need the Enterprise plan.

On PlatformPilot

  • Sub-tickets on every ticket, old or new, on every plan.
  • Many levels deep, and a ticket can never end up under itself.
  • Roll-ups count, sum and average the levels below.
  • Every ticket keeps its own fields, editable at any level.

Then the plan decides.

On monday.com, what a project board can do depends on what you pay for each seat.

On PlatformPilot, formula and roll-up fields, boards and table views come on every plan, with no plan limit on tickets or fields.

Everything else monday.com counts: monday.com limits and AI credits.

Projects beside the people they're for.

Tickets live in the same CRM as your clients, so the work and the relationship are in one place, on one bill.

  • On the client's record

Every ticket names its client, and the client's page lists its tickets beside its people and deals.

  • Statuses for client work

To do, In progress, Waiting on client, Done and Cancelled, plus your own.

  • Told where they work

Assign a ticket and the person hears in PlatformPilot, and in Slack when you connect it.

  • Due dates that show

Late work is flagged, and tasks on a ticket get their own owner and date.

  • Boards your way

Work on a board by status, priority or any field you add, or in a table.

  • Automations that ask first

When a ticket is created or changes, the agent can act, or ask you first.

Bring your boards over.

  1. Connect a monday.com board.

Each item arrives as a ticket with its status, priority, due date and updates, and syncs every hour or when you press Sync now.

  2. Work it in PlatformPilot.

Assign, add sub-tickets and discuss, while monday.com stays untouched.

  3. Disconnect and keep it all.

The tickets stay, every field yours to edit, with their history.

Subitems, people and files stay on monday.com: add the sub-tickets and assign in PlatformPilot.

Before you switch.

Does monday.com charge extra for subitems?

No: subitems come on every plan, and nest 4 levels deep on boards created new for it. The limits are elsewhere: 750 under one item, 5,000 items on a nested board, nesting on project boards only on Enterprise, and formula columns from Pro (monday.com support).

How deep can sub-tickets go?

Up to 1,000 levels, or 10 under a roll-up that counts the whole tree. Break any ticket into sub-tickets and those into their own; a ticket can never end up under itself.

Do my monday.com subitems come over?

Not yet. A connected board brings each item as a ticket with its status, priority, due date and updates. Add the sub-tickets in PlatformPilot.

Does PlatformPilot have Gantt charts or time tracking?

Not today, nor dependencies. Tickets work on boards and in tables, by status, priority or any field you add, with due dates and late work flagged.

Can my clients see their projects?

The client portal is in pilot with select customers. Ask about it when you book a demo.

How much does PlatformPilot cost?

Solopreneur is $250 a month, with Tickets, sub-tickets, the CRM and the Brain in it. Team and Organization are priced for your team.
